Sandbox Films’ headquarters is designed to support the full life-cycle of documentary film-making—offering a workspace for production by day and a gathering space for screenings and community-building by night. Set within a 1920s Neo-Gothic skyscraper, the design draws inspiration from early movie houses and Art Deco-era New York, blending rich materiality with state-of-the-art technology. At its heart is a 22-seat Dolby Atmos-certified screening room, a space for both critical review and industry gatherings. Surrounding it, a mix of private editing suites, open and private workspaces, and a central reception lounge with a bar creates an office that operates more like a members’ club, fostering dialogue between artists, collaborators, and industry leaders.
